Mil Palmeras and Dehesa de Campoamor are located on the Orihuela Coast in Spain. This coast is located, south of the city of Torrevieja (Torrevieja Area) and close to the Alicante (Alicante Area) province border with the Murcia (Murcia Area) province.
This part of the Alicante usually becomes popular during the summer months with a lot of tourists, but there is plenty to do all year round. Overall the two towns are within walking distance of each other, only being 2.3 km apart. Within Mil Palmeras there is a village square with many restaurants around including traditional Spanish tapas bars. There is also many restaurants and bars along the sea front in Dehesa de Campoamor.

In Mil Palmeras there is not a lot of activities to get up to apart from bars and restaurants. There is of course the beach you can visit and take part in some water sports. The best activities are when you travel more outwards towards the cities of Alicante, Torrevieja and Orihuela. In these cities you can get up to a lot more activities as you have such as wider range of shops, parks and attractions.
In the nearby town of Dehesa de Campoamor there is much more variety of attractions and activities. You can go to an amusement centre or to the local Park (Parque Don Jose Morejon Verdu). This park is great for short walks. There is a very unique restaurant called the fish bowl, located in the middle of a round abound in the centre of the town. The fish bowl serves great food and drinks, with a 360-degree lookout at all the cars going past. Perfect for all the summery days. You can also take a trip to the marina and go to the yacht or beach club. If movies are more your thing the town also has a cinema showing all the latest new movies.
In both towns there are plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a range of different restaurants including Spanish, Italian, seafood and grills.
Around Mil Palmeras/Dehesa de Campoamor, there are several public schools, as well as a music school located nearby. There are no schools within Mil Palmeras although there is one within Dehesa de Campoamor. There is also a medical centre located within Mil Palmeras and a hospital located in neighbouring Dehesa de Campoamor.
For the most part of the year this area experiences temperatures over 20 degrees’. The warmest month is August and the coolest is January. The area experiences over 300 days of sunshine per year, which makes it an all year round destination for tourists and people wanting to move abroad.
